THE #KOCOVID Challenge
Heavyweight Champ Lou Savarese and Olympic Champion Adam Nelson challenge the world to fight COVID19.
For the next 30 days we challenge you to do 100 burpees paired with a Jab Cross Hook combination to raise awareness and support the efforts to fight COVID19. You can do this workout at home with ZERO equipment.
Small businesses are the back bone of our economy. The small retail services businesses have been forced to shut down in many major metropolitan areas. Online options help a little, but something more needs to be done. You can help spread the word, show support, and provide direct support for those impacted by buying a shirt and or participating the challenge.
So you can support some of those directly impacted by COVID and keep in shape while following social distancing protocols.
How does it work?
Simple. Take a picture of you doing your challenge. Post the picture on social media with the hashtag #KOCOVID and let us know how you did and challenge 3 other people to take the challenge. Why three? Early reports said that every person infected with COVID19 would infect 3 more people every day and we know that we need to support social distancing for at least 30 days.
You can use gloves or egg weights or just your hands. You can modify it in anyway to make it more challenging or more appropriate for your fitness level. The goal is to complete 1 burpee and a 3 punch combination for 100 reps. If you are unable to do so, that's okay. Simply post your result and attempt to do better next time.
You do not need to challenge 3 people every time you do it, but challenge 3 people at least once.
IT'S A CHALLENGE. Do I win anything?
The winnings are the results earned and the knowledge that you are doing more than with your physical efforts than just working out. You have purposeful effort!
Do I need to buy a tee shirt?
No. You can do the challenge on your own and we'll still cheer for you. This is about creating awareness and supporting those impacted by this Virus. If you want to buy a t-shirt, that's great too.
Are you a non-profit?
No. We're not. We're going to donate proceeds from sales to various charities that support those impacted negatively by the virus. We're going to make all that public on our blog.
Where does the money go?
Some of the money from the purchase of each t-shirt will go to cover the costs associated with printing and fulfillment through Printful. After covering our costs, we'll post where the proceeds from t-shirt sales go. It's not a perfect system, but we believe it's time to take action now.
Do I need to complete the challenge to participate?
No. If you can't do 100 Burpees with a Jab, Cross, Hook, do what you can nor commit to everyday for 30 days, that's fine. It's the act of committing to it and sharing your efforts publicly that make a difference.
